Africa Investment Summit

LINKS supported the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) in presentinginvestment opportunities in the country at the Africa Investment Summit held in Jan 2020.  Heads of state from 21 African nations and their delegations assembled in London, alongside UK politicians, African entrepreneurs, and representatives from finance, business, and development for the high-level summit to discuss and explore future economic relationships with the UK government. President Muhammadu Buhari, the Ministers for Investment and Finance, and the Executive Secretary of Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) represented Nigeria. Deals signed with the FGN included: an export contract to install street lighting for Oyo State by Low Energy Designs, £315m for acquisition and investment ingas assets by Savannah, £2m for the installation of five airport control room towers by Tex ATC and £5m for Smart Metering to Abuja Distribution Company.
