To increase economic opportunities in the tailoring sector while contributing to Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa States’ fight against the spread of COVID-19, LINKS is supporting local production of quality and safety compliant facemasks by helping train and support the start-up of 1,000 Master Craft Persons to produce facemasks, ensure quality standards and build demand for locally produced facemasks. We have signed MoUs between LINKS and eight (8) Business Development Service Providers and have provided grants to support these activities. The facemasks went to market in July 2020.
